Parent-ChilD Relationships & Well-Being Lab
the challenge
Parent-Child Relationships & Well-Being Lab (PCR&WBL) at Colorado State University enhances the health and well-being of children and families faced with adversity through additional support and resources to help them thrive. As a new research lab, their current projects examine stress physiology and sleep in children and the protective role of parents in low-income families with abuse and neglect.
the solution
Understanding PCR&WBL’s mission was vital to generating a design for their logo. With parental care and mindfulness central to their research, the design reflects that through the simplified use of a heart and two circles. The heart, a universal symbol for love, is combined with an upper circle to represent a nurturing figure holding a child, represented by the lower circle.
